hello all, my first post

just saying hi to those who care and to those that do not.
im a uni slacker who has enjoyed reading the chaser paper (rip) and now when i should be doing something else, reads the chaser website.

i also like long walks on the beach, sand, water and  oxygen.
i hate the word moist, top 40 music and being the youngest in my  post grad classes (the middle aged can be nasty).

now i have appropriately introduced myself, see you around the site!

Welcome to the house of fun! I'm a slacker as well, but an undergraduate one. Please, feel free to jump on in on any thread, it's about time we had some fresh blood. I mean, umm... talent.

Us workers have to struggle to fit in both a hard day's work, and a full day's forum read and troll, er, I mean post.

Wooh! Uni Slackers!

in my Double degree, I come out with a masters. And being in my first year, I haven't come across any post grads yet. But thanks for the warning! I'll be on the lookout.

In my experience, my tutors were post grad students and with tutorials being compulsory in my degree, there was no way I could avoid them.  The real group of people you have to watch out for are the mature-aged students. Especially when those compulsory-attendance tutorials require you to participate as part of your final grade.  Sometimes you can't get a word in edgeways.  However, they do come in handy when doing group assignments because you know that they are going to do good quality work.

So true. Damn old nerds. There's always an older, unshaven guy with a beer gut and a thick aussie accent who comments on every part of the lesson and talks about how he used to drive trucks and coach basketball and all sorts of stupid shit.

Yep, I had one of them when I was doing biology. Bald as opposed to unshaven though, but just like that. But yay for uni slackers. I'm one of them too. I've been at uni for *thinks* four years, this is my fifth, and no, I still don't have a degree yet. I did three years of biology (and didn't graduate either) before quiting that for human biology. *sighs* Another two and a half years to go. *thinks how many years uni study that'll be when she's done* Seven years, I think. Yup. But I'm technically mature-aged now anyway, since I'm 23 this year, and I started HB last year when I was 21. Yay. And I really should be sleeping at some point, I have work tomorrow, but I'm here. So yeah. I might go find something to eat. Apologies for that weird, longwinded reply. *runs*
